I would like to go volunteer to teach in northern India however, I am having difficulty deciding between the following areas: Delhi, Dehradun, Rajasthan, and, Himachal Pradesh. I would like to go to the area where there is the most to see. Or, where I can easily travel to neighboring areas with items to see. Thank you very much for your time and assistance.

Delhi and Rajasthan are extremely hot during summers between April and September, whereas Himachal and Dehradun are cooler. Delhi has a number of places to visit. Connectivity in Delhi is good within the city and also to nearby places. If you go for Delhi, you can go for short visits to Agra, Jaipur, Dehradun and so many other places depending on your interest.
If you like to stay in himachal you can enjoy mountaneous regions. Some of the places of interest in Himachal are Shimla, Kullu Manali, Dharmshala& Dalhousie.
If you base yourself at Dehradun, you can visit Mussorrie(a hill station), Haridwar & Rishikesh(Hindu Pilgrimage place), Nainital and Pithoragarh(Places of Scenic beauty).
If you base in Rajasthan, you can see forts and colourful heritage of Rajasthan. You can see Jaipur, Bharatpur(Bird Sanctuary and palace, Udaipur(City of palaces), Pushkar(Fair in February), Ranthambore(Wild Life Sanctuary). All places are well connected by Trains and Deluxe buses.
Best of luck
