do you think it wrong to "stalk" them a little by responding to one or two of their other questions in other sections - you know, making it a point to call attention to their blatant intolerance and bigotry they posted here in LGBT?

It's the ones that sound like they're presenting like such upstanding folk with the rest of their questions that I will sometimes check out and respond to another of their Q. Idk, maybe it embarasses them a little to dis-robed as closeted haters.

I see nothing wrong with treating a real jerk like a real jerk. Chances are this person is not only an a$$hole about gays. Bigots are usually racists as well.

That you use the word "stalk" might be worrisome, but no. Answers is set up so you can view a profile and answer other questions by particular posters.

I don't know how much good you'll do by antagonizing these idiots, though. A few insults aren't going to change their views. For that to happen they'd need to get smarter, or go back in time and prevent their mothers from drinking during pregnancy.

Just report them instead. Hopefully if their questions get taken down and they can't get people riled up like they want, hopefully they'll lose interest. Of course, there are a lot of idiots out there and they're stubborn.

I have a look at the posts they make but rarely contribute. Usually they're in the religion section and say things like "I was reading John 4:28 and it was similar to Matthew 3:99"... I can't contribute intelligently to that!!!!
(and before anyone else says it, I will: the inability to contribute intelligently has not stopped me before)

When someone posts a bashing question on LGBT I'll read it but I don't respond to it because I don't have the time for the negativity.

All good suggestions; or, you could just, you know, GET A LIFE. These people aren't exactly "closet haters"; their questions are readily available for all to see on their Q&A profile. I suggest that you live and let live.

Love, Jack.

Let your conscience be your guide. Would you feel like a lowlife if you did that? If you're interested in 'taking the high road', would going after that one interfere with your personal character development? Just a thought. If the person riled you enough, which way would you view it, as a chance to take revenge, or a chance to model mature behavior? (I know, when pissed, evidence of maturity can fly right out the window)

How do you do it??? I'll join you. I just left a comment to some guys question. He was bashing gays here, saying crap like "God hates queers, should we pray for them or have them exorcised. How do we get rid of them?" That kind of crap. I told him to take his butt back to the religion section, you don't see any gays over in the religion section trying to convert Christians into homosexuals, now do you? SO yeah, I would definately do it!

If they're intolerant, I do. Once a bigot, always a bigot. So I look for other bigotted posts, and I report whatever there is to report. Or I answer whatever is worth answering.

I don't think it's wrong. I think it's something that I can't be arsed to do, but then usually reading said questions is something I can't be arsed to do. There is the danger of feeding the trolls; by your response they know they've gotten to you, which is an encouragement. But, your call. ::shrug::

I just report them...they have no reason to post hateful and rude questions that they know will offend other people...its ridiculous...bigots have no place in this society
