I was wondering if I can do anything before I go to Claires to prevent it from hurting. Do they put any anisthesia on it? I'm scared to get my ears pierced because I did it at Walmart and it closed up already.

Well I got my 2nd hole done at Walmart in July and it doesn't hurt. All you have to do to prevent them from hurting and closing is: They give you antiseptic to put on your ear . You have to put it on 3 times a day and turn you earring 3 times a day to prevent it from sticking to your ear. I admit about 10 minnutes after you get it done it will hurt only a liitle bit but not a lot. I'm only 11 and I know all of this!!!!

No, they don't do anything to make the pain stop, but they do put stuff on it to clean it from any infection before they pierce it. Don't worry about Claire's...I had had a couple piercings done from them and I'm pretty sure they would do a better job than Walmart considering Claire's is a specialty store for that kind of thing.

LOL! I had my ears peirced at Claires years and years ago. They did a good job. They didnt use anesthesia, but it really didnt hurt. It all depends on who peirces your ears anyway. Just relax. If you are tense you might move and mess them up! Don't worry, you'll be fine! And the peircing location has nothing to do with having your holes close. Just make sure to keep your ears clean after you get them peirced and keep earrings in whenever possible. Even after six months to a year, you need to put your earrings in regularly to keep the holes. And make sure you get good quality studs. No nickel or gold-plated nickel! It's important because an allergic reaction to the nickel can cause the holes to close. Good luck!

no but the main thing is get their ear care solution, a big bottle! It works really well, you shouldn't have much pain and they won't close up as long as you do not take the earrings out. Clean the piercings with the solution every day as directed, also when they start to feel painful or crusty....that what causes the pain more than anything.

i got my ears pierced their before, it doesn't hurt at all. just feels like a pinch. i was also nervous at first because i got my ears pierced when i was younger and they got infected and closed up quickly. Just make sure you get the 14 K. or 12 K. gold posts. if you get the cheaper ones then you'll have more of a chance of ur ears getting infected. its more expensive, but worth it! Don't worry about the pain, a shot from the doctors feels worse.

they are low cost earrings. each and every thing about getting something pierced by employing the Brittany Spears wannabe teeny boppers at Claire's is probably volatile. Gun piercings are undesirable, the jewellery they use is undesirable, the "aftercare" assistance they provide you with are undesirable. I recommend, i will say this - I were given my ears pierced on the age of 5 and it develop into finished with a gun by employing a youthful lady at a hair salon and that i finished up high quality. in basic terms verify that you do take sturdy care of them.

my daughter is 7 and had her ears pierced at Claire's last month and she was fine, they just wipe your ear with some kind of cleaning wipe then do the piercing, she said it pinched a bit but didn't hurt as much as she though it would, it's so quick aswell. they do have a teddy that they offered my daughter to cuddle but that's it.

How on earth can they close up if you have earrings in them? Did you take them out and whyyyy?

Just know you'll hear a crunch. Its going to last one second...so meditate and get over it. Look at yourself in the mirror and place a dot where you want the piercing to be...so YOU have control. Do pick out some small round gold sleepers you like very much and some ear-antiseptic lotion to apply afterwards.

Anyway....the above is pre-snick. Ask for numbing cream or ice and TELL them that you are nervous....so they know you are liable to freak THEM out.

You must leave the pierce posts in for the required amount of time to ensure the hole will remain open. Keep you newly hole clean with the cleaner. Last but least, wash your ears before you go... No local will be given but it's over so quickly you don't have time to fret. Just in case, take an ibuprofen or aspirin approx. an hour before you go....
