I have an older Kia Sportage 4x4 (1999). I have about 115k miles and have never had any major problems. The best thing is if you like to do some of the repairs or upkeep yourself, Kia has their shop manual and electrical manual available on the website, the same information that the dealerships use.

KIA certainly isn't "great", they're just cheap in price and quality.
KIA has gotten better in the last 5 or 6 years but not up to high standards like Toyota, Nissan, etc.
Do yourself a favor. Go to www.consumerreports.com and sign up for a 1 month membership (about $5) and do some research.
The automobile ratings are developed from information from owners and not the car companies, etc. It's a great source for information on the quality of nearly any type product.

so that you "did your homework and shopped round for further or less 2 weeks". AND, you nonetheless ought to ask?? damn. If it fairly is the whole you've discovered after 2 WEEKS, what do you imagine? i recognize, fairly of trusting your own homework and buying round, why not ask entire strangers? it really is in basic terms stupid. If it fairly is the whole you've discovered, this is the whole deal. terrible decision getting a Kia fairly of a Toyota or a CRV, yet regardless of. I guess you kept 20.00 in accordance to month and picture it really is a "sturdy deal"...nicely, you're incorrect. A Kia is under no circumstances a significantly better deal than a CRV or a Rav-4...regardless of if the fee is 50.00 extra, a CRV or a Rav-4 is a significantly better "deal". yet, bypass be a cheap a$$ and purchase a P.O.S. in case you want. it really is you call.
