There is really nothing wrong with linking all these things if they are mutually beneficial to both countries...problem is the current America uses foreign espionage and terrorist groups to achieve its WILL on others

It is elementary; political freedom (democracy) and economic freedom (capitalism) cannot be separated for long. Any country that has one but not the other is in transition. It is either on the way up, to where it has both, or on the way down, to where it has neither.

Because the west and the US conservatives in power want it done their way - because they think they are better than you and if you don't do it they will attack you or enable sanctions against you. Might makes right is their unsaid motto.
