I want to keep the address as so many of my friends from all over the world know it to be a reliable way to reach me. I have had it over 8 years. After that long no matter how careful you are, it just seems to happen. I dont use it to register at sites or any of that sort of thing. I mark thousands a month as spam but it doesnt seem to help. Is there a way I can keep the address and lose the spam?

login go to options got to spam section and direct all bulk mail to bulk folder...the spam filters are good on yahoo, and most consumer bulk will be filtered already....

if you have friends who forever forward you fwds...you can either treat it as spam, with the click of a button, but anything from the email address in future will be directed to bulk...or ask them nicely not to include you in their mass mailing or fwd lists, especially cc lists as a spammer wil glean your details from cc'd emails.

Good Luck

Mark the email and then click on the SPAM button. Yahoo will put them on the SPAM list and stop them from entering your "In" mailbox. A SPAM filter is good too. They know which domains those spammers use. Also, go to the bottom of the email. It usually allows you remove your address from their mailing list.

yes but it takes a long time, you have to open the mail and go to the bottom click the link to unsubscribe or send a mail back to them either blank of with the word unsubscribe in the topic line. It does work i have done this for years and have very little spam coming
