in my humble opinion, nearly all the questions of Y!A are asked in good faith and around eight out of ten answers try to answer the question. Many of our questions come from people whose first language is not English, that makes it fun trying to understand what they really mean. When someone tries to be funny or make another point, that's up to them, it is not a problem. Y!A is a microcosm of society, with it's mixture of odd, funny, intelligent and serious people.

1. because we do not want to pretend to be "know-it-alls"
2. we do not want to waste time looking for, and searching for information that others have expertise on; who wants to "re-invent the wheel" all the time?
3. for asking your question, you acknowledge that you are "ridiculous and stupid"? hope not....

Because people are curious and see if what other people would say about the question, or yet too lazy to go search the actual question for themselve's

That is just your opinion. Not all of them are. But I think people use this site for mostly entertainment. If I needed hardcore medical advice or something of that nature, I will not be asking it on fr**kin' yahoo.
