We are in our early 60's - active and my husband still has his career. We are looking for an upscale condo or townhouse in a great area with people are age -- any suggestions. Also, SA seems to be a fun city with many, many, things to do.

San Antonio is a great city to live in. Not too big, not too small. Traffic never gets as bad as Houston, Dallas or Austin. I lived there for five years and unfortunately due to job reasons had to move back to Houston this summer. I am hoping to move back before I retire.

One thing that makes San Antonio different than many other cities its size is that it is not as urban of a city. By that I mean that they don't have a lot of urban development with condos and townhomes, like for example, Houston does. I'm sure there are some, as well as some communities that cater to active seniors, and I wish you luck finding one that suits you. You might check around the Sonterra Country Club. It is a very upscale golf course community. Sorry I couldn't be more help, but I know you will love living there once you find the right place. My personal preference is the north side of town, say near or north of FM1604 and between 281N and I-10. Sonterra is north of FM1604 on Stone Oak Parkway.
