my husband decided to get them a while back just for an experiment (big child) and they were ok for a while then the water started to stagnate and go green and smelt really bad. i think its a farse myself we ended up flushing them so beware of the sea monkeys! ha ha!

yes, they are just brine shrimp many are harvested from the Great Salt Lake in UT, they have adapted so that during dry periods the eggs will go dormant and wait till the next rain to hatch. you can get grown up brinies at most tropical fish stores, I fed them to my Oscar when he was a baby.

When I was younger I had some. They were real, they grew and kept reproducing. The funny thing is I saw some at a store yesterday and wanted to get them.

Sure I had some "brine shrimp" cause that's what they were. We used to have tropical fish and fed them frozen brine shrimp. Once the "Monkeys" spawned the sure looked familiar!!!

I did when I was younger..what a rip off...all they are is Brine Shrimp...you need a magnifying glass just to see them...not worth the time or money...spend both on something else...

I used to get them when I was a kid-1960 or early 70s.I think I orderd them from a comic book, they were cool.I wonder if you can still get them,Last i heard they were still avalible

wen i used to work in a hardware store we bought some. they were fun for a while but then they got big and ugly and the lads left em outside to die....harsh!
