I have a new 49cc gas scooter that the needed the front tire assembled. There is a front disc brake that is supposed to clamp around the disk mounted on the front tire. BUT the front break is now clamped completely closed and I can't get it open. Should I try to take the brake apart to get the brake pads open? IS there a simple fix? Should I wait to try to get someone to look at it? I can't take it to a shop because, well, can't drive without brakes. So what do I do?

the brake your talking about is called a caliper, that goes over the disc brake try to pry the pads apart and look at the piston behind it and make sure it's not frozen up. They do sell a tool to make that easier it's call a pad spreader

put it in a car and take it to a shop. don't be an idiot. taking it apart if you don't know what your doing will most likely cause more damage to it. go to a professional
