It's a black thing, for sure.
I guess we need not challenge it knowing that it was use as a derogatory term up until the civil rights movement in the 60's
to hurt American Blacks.
I don't think white liberals should use it either.
Personally I think the ****** in me is the best part of me.
Whatever that means.
I know that at least in American Literature, these old derogatory
words and condenscending terms, in literature, and film
hurt African American Pride.
That is why films like Song of the South and Books like
Little Black Sanbow and Tar Baby were banned.
