People in general react defensively when others question their identities. Identity is central to human social interaction. It is a road map for communicating in ways that make sense to another person. So, in a sense, you are bashing their communication style which their survival might depend on.
Also, I see people slinging Bible verses. Before I wanted to be a sociologist, I wanted to be a missionary. I too have bible verses.
PS to the poster "God" Lol "The hardest thing to tolerate, is intolerance" --Don't recall, google it

George, George, George, we meet again. We gotta stop talking like this, the LGBT community will think I've taking a liking to you. I just love how you bait the community everyday with one philosophical question after the next. Very attractive might I add. I think alot of us are suffering from "Post traumatic Syndrome" from being harassed by saved christians, and gay bashers. I think this may cause the sensitivity that you are encountering when asking your questions. Whats a wonder to me is, your keen interest in the homosexuality and the pros and cons of the lifestyle. Very interesting, very interesting indeed....

I'm not intolerant of people who question or disagree with my lifestyle. Someone disagreeing with me being gay won't make me less gay. It's when people get in my face or try to stop me from living my life that I open up a can of 'whup ***'. Other than that, words do not affect me. I have a saying that goes "I don't care what anyone says about me, as long as they keep their hands off me." I once was in a eye doctor's office. I was talking to this elderly man and we were having a great conversation. Then gays came into the converation, and this man was against gay relationships, but he did not get rude or ignorant with it, and he also stated that although he didn't believe in gay relationships he also didn't believe in any gay bashing. He was strictly against it. Although I was gay, and thus we disagreed on the subject, we still sat down and talked like civil people.

I have no doubts about my sexuality. I have no doubts that there's nothing I could do to change it if I wanted to. That having been said, I have a major problem with people who go out of their way to insult others of ANY group, because no matter how you spin it it's plain malice. It goes against my compassionate sensibilities. I have an even bigger problem when people want to take their opinions and impose them on me; or, rather, continue to impose them on me. Maintaining an unjust system is just as bad as actively working to strip away more rights. So....am I "intolerant"? You tell me.

I'm not "intolerant" of the people, but I must admit, it gets really old hearing the same threats, rude comments, etc...over and over again. I would have to say that it's not likely to be the question(s), but perhaps the way in which they are written. If one truly doesn't care for my lifestyle, then why would one inquire about it? (i.e. if I don't like the smell of a skunk, I'm not going to go out of my way to find one and smell it)! "Try" wording your question(s) in a professional / mature manner and see what responses you receive, you "might" be shocked.....Best of luck! Cheers!

It is not that we are intolerant, it is sickening to have to keep answering to those of you who think you are so much better, although threats are not the answer, but I have no doubt about who I am. Why are you here posting questions, anyway, if you don't like us so much? That is what boggles my lesbianic mind.

Who cares, are you obsessed with homosexuals or something, because most of your Q and A's are in the LGBT section. Which makes me want to question your sexuality, and I'm not even gay.

They have a right to be intolerant if people are questioning them. Who are we to say what they do is right or wrong? Leave them be, and they will leave you alone. I believe very much in the rights for gay people to be equal to everyone else in every aspect of life, from marriage to adoption to land ownership.
