I am sorry you are in this situation. I am not trying to judge you, but find myself a little irritated with your situation. I don't know all you are going thru, so I won't direct my frustration toward you. I will only try and help you.
Sex is so prevalent amongst people these days. They don't think about the consequences when they have sex. They don't think about the little ones who will be affected for the rest of their lives if they choose to have unprotected sex.
Your question brings up so much for me. So many people don't know who their baby's daddy is. It is maddening, and not fair to the children, or the people of the counties that have to pay for the children who are on welfare because their moms have to have sex all the time. If your man is not going to use good judgment, then you should use good judgment. Then you would not be in this mess.
I cannot have children, I apologize for being so bitter. I see this happen all the time and it really angers me. Children suffer because they don't have their real parents in their lives. It just does not seem fair or right.
In your case, my friend, I would hire a lawyer. If the judge ordered him to pay on his SSI checks, then that is an order, right? Hiring a lawyer may be needed just to enforce what the judge has said, if SSI is being stubborn. He should be liable to pay for your child's welfare. It is not fair to you as well, to have to support your child on your own, when there is another involved, perfectly capable of helping you out.
Please know that I am not dumping on you. I just get so frustrated when I hear stories like this, because the person affected the most is the child, and they didn't do anything to deserve it. I hope you find the answers you are looking for and get the results you want.
I do feel a little bad about what I wrote, but I just had to say it. If anyone else reads this, look at her situation, and hopefully you will think twice about having unprotected sex with multiple partners. We all have to live and learn. And this lady, bless your heart, you are living and learning in a difficult way.

What does your attorney say about this?
If you do not have a lawyer call Legal Aid and get one to represent you. You may have to take him back to court.
Good luck!

Call your local attorney generals office, they are in the phone book. They are the ones who handle this specifically.
