I remember the Jim Kelly Buffalo Bills running the Hurry Up and I thought it was brilliant, but few teams copied it even though the Bills got to the Super Bowl (and lost) four times.

I watched Peyton Manning last week run the Hurry Up and today Donavan McNabb as well.

Do you think that Petyon's success these past few years is having an impact on the league and more teams will use the Hurry Up?

For the longest time, the hurry up offense was mainly used in the last 2-5 minutes of the halves so a score could be put up. Most teams use it now to keep the D on the field longer so they tire out faster. Slow D makes the O have more chances to score.

The Hurry Up has often been used when a team is losing and most move the ball quickly. The Hurry Up is also used to keep the same defense on the field and create mismatches for receivers. The problem with the hurry up is that the team executing gets tried faster and doesn't necessarily get the right players in. The Hurry up might become a bit more widely used, but don't count on it.

It is not a new trend but it has been used a lot lately because all of the teams want to showoff how good they are during the last few minutes.

the hurry up offense is designed to confuse the defense and so they cant adjust to the offense. the reason people are doing it so much now is because, well- it works. just look at chad pennington last week verse the titans, he ran the hurry up offense reely good and beat tenesees sucky A$SES. GO JETS

Bengals used it mainly and then the Bills copied them

I think a lot of teams just aren't successful running it so that's why you don't see it often. It takes a talented team to run it well

ur right, jim started it. Peyton perfected it. I dont think anybody (presently playing) will be able to do it like the Colts.
