I mean all those who admited to being a witch were torture to do so, and we all know that all information that we get from torture is reliable.

no, they just said that to stop from being tortured...if they denied it, they would be hanged, but if they at least admitted it, they had a chance of surviving...

A person who is tortured will say anything to make it stop. No they were not witches.

They were no more witches than I am the Wizard of Oz!

So what your telling us is that we just blindly round up people torture them all to get info and then go after more and do the same to them. The only thing that sounds dumber than that are the 9-11 conspiracies.

No they were not.

They wanted to make the torturing stop so they said that they were witches....

They were poor helpless ladies, they weren't the type who hold out so they protect their beliefs....some even had children

no. it was a no win situation. i think the real witches would have scared the hooey out of folks. How can you figure that a person who is capable of casting spells and healing wouldn't curse you for prosecuting them...only non-witches, women that where hated for other reasons would have been persecuted.

The preachers doing the torture were divinely guided by the hand of God. Yes they were witches. How dare you question the Truth you godless heathen liberal babykiller commie traitor! ;)

I agree. One important point; there is no such thing as a witch. There are people who play around with Tarot cards, etc, but those things don't work. It would be nice if they did.

I think you meant to say unreliable. Plus if we want to change the Geneva Convention Rules on war prisoners, it will come back to haunt us.

No I do not, nor do I believe they should have been tortured and killed even if they were.
