Ok ; I want to tie dye some pillow cases ; can I use food coloring to do it or will it not work?

food coloring might run over time, and stain the rest of your clothes. if your pillow cases have polyester, it wont work. just do it right, go buy some rit dye. there are instructions for it for the rit. for food coloring, there are no instructions, only for easter eggs. and I know you dont want your pillow cases to smell like vinegar

Use Rit Fabric Dye and the color won't run or fade. You can find it in some supermarkets, or in a fabric, or hobby store.

Buy Rit dye.

im pretty sure it will just wash off when you try to wash your pillow case..
go to a drug store, they will have some for cheap

i guess it would wrok but it will wash out easily so you should buy a kit.
