I've recently started taking a blend of herbs whose purpose is to combat anxiety. This blend contains Damania, Lavender, Peppermint, and Lemon Balm. I started yesterday, and today I have felt dizzy and nauseous all day. I was wondering if this was a potential side effect of these herbs. Also, I was wondering if anybody knew of a way to counteract the nausea. (The feeling is very similar to motion sickness.)

Yes, it is possible that the dizziness is because of the herbal blend. Is this a product that you chose on your own, or did someone at the health food store, or a naturopath, advise you to take it? Before starting herbal therapies, it is well advised to seek the services of a naturopath or herbalist. They will be able to help you determine which ones will help you balance your body. It will also save you time and money because you won't be trying several different products that you may not need.

To counteract the nausea, use peppermint essential oil applied topically over the stomach; or, if you have peppermint candy that is made with peppermint oil, that will work as well.

Daminia is what's causing you to become Dizzy...
This is one of the side effects listed. It can also interfere with other drugs you may be taking.

Lavender, Peppermint and Lemon Balm are all natural herbs that should not give you any such side effects unless you are allergic to one of them..

For the nauseous, I have no idea except it may be related to a bit of anxiety, which was also mentioned concerning Daminia.

You can go to a vitamin shop or health food store and purchase some "Ginger Capsules"... take 3-4 a day to start and see what happens. I know they will help you because I took them during my entire Chemotherapy (and no other drugs) and I NEVER became sick to my stomach.
Besides, it's a natural spice and is very very good for you. It will most defiantly help you after a few doses...

Wishing you the very Best..........
