Perhaps no one else wants all the baggage that goes with this conceited jerk. To Allen, it's all about Allen and his questionable friends who follow him around like a pack of dogs.

His attitude. Allen Iverson is very stong-willed. It's a blessing & a curse. It's a blessing in the sense that he will play very hard, regardless of injuries. It's a curse because he's one of those people who're going to do whatever they want to do, regardless of consequences. The mindset with people like that is: "My will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven". We all remember the press conference he conducted talking about how he didn't need to practice when he decided not to show up. He ran off Larry Brown and got Randy Ayers fired. Iverson typically doesn't get the team involved and he gambles defensively. Then he looks pitiful at the end of the season when the 76ers don't make the playoffs or when they get destroyed in the playoffs. He'll also blame teammates. He also talks about being misunderstood and hated when he skips practice, pregame shootarounds, and meetings. The idea of blaming his teammates and the 76ers for not giving him a better squad is unfair. He usually passes only when he can't get his shot (even then, he'll only pass 2 out of 10 times) or when he's on the All-Star team or Dream Team. Look at the players that Iverson once played with: Jerry Stackhouse, Larry Hughes, Dikembe Mutombo, Speedy Claxton, Derrick Coleman, Glenn Robinson, Keith Van Horn. Every name there is/was able to score 15 points or better on any team that you can name. Iverson dominated the ball so much, that none of them could stick, but as soon as they left, they all blew up. Claxton & Robinson won titles with the Spurs and Claxton may have All-Star potential. Same deal with Larry Hughes. Mutombo played in the NBA finals with the Nets after getting out of Philly. Jerry Stackhouse became a multi-time All-Star and just made the NBA Finals. Van Horn has played in more Finals (2) than Iverson (1). Derrick Coleman was All-Star material his whole career. He was a headcase too, and I've read plenty of interviews with him criticizing A.I.'s ballhogging. When you hear other nuisances speaking the dead-on truth, you know a problem's bad. Iverson isn't worth the trouble, the 76ers let him run the place and that's the only place he can play. Imagine him trying that B.S. with the Cavs, Timberwolves, Lakers, or any other team (especially one with a megastar). Iverson knows that the 76ers are the 1 place that will cater to him, that's why he constantly pumps the idea of playing his career there. He's an asshole, but he's not a dumbass. He also has 2 All-Star caliber teammates in Chris Webber & Andre Igdouala. He just needs to pass the ball, but that won't happen until it enters his skull. It may not be a stretch to say that the only titles Iverson will ever win are scoring titles.

The Sixers aren't half bad, but i'll say if AI pass the ball rather than put up bad shots, the Sixers will be a better team.

1st because he doesn't want to leave philly
2nd for any team to get him they would have to give up to much and he is heading towards the end of his career so teams don't know how many year of his performance they would get or how good he will play as he ages
Last he seems to care about money a lot more than winning

Because the sixers spend too much on average players and won't trade him to a team who actually has a chance to go somewhere.

Historically when major players of his calliber get traded, equal value is never received, unless the trade is straight up.

If you are taking about now, it is simple, he is getting old and if you have noticed, most teams trying to rebuild, want younger players to work with.
