am i a bad person if i say i dont like my mother, but since i am obligated to being that im her daughter, i love her? Everyting she does bothers me, shes controlling, shes nuts, shes mean, she likes my sister better. And im not saying these things to sound immature and unloved, but i have been through so much throughout my life, and everyting was always a problem, going to see friends in the city, all of a sudden, questions and questions. Now that my sister is my age that i was when i started becominig independant, she could do whatever she wants, she could go anywhere, see anyone, do anyting. Im miserable, i want to move out and get married and have a life of my own, i cant stand my mother and i dont know what to do anymore.

I don't' know how old you are, but I am in my forties, and I don't like my mother, for different reasons. I am married with children and independent, but my mother has not changed, your mother sounds like mine, but there is very little you can do, if you are under her roof. I do agree that children, or adults living with parents should go by their house rules. Try to talk to her and tell her how you feel, maybe you will compromise, other than that don't get married just to get out of the house, that is a big mistake. If you can get out on your own, do it, but stay single for a while.

While you live with her you must show her respect.....but you can't make yourself love her if you don't.

I predict when you're able to move away on your own you will see her in a different light.

You may never like her or want her for a friend but you will realize that you do love her.....just because she's your mother.

Give this time....it sounds like your very young.....nothing ever stays the same.

Being on your own and especially getting married is 5 times as hard as living with your mom. Believe me, your mom might have hormonal problems, give her some chocolate. It might calm her down. If you can not live with someone as familiar as your mom (in peace), then DO NOT get married. I've been married for 3 years and I can tell you that you have to work on a marriage and unlike your mom, he won't be obligated to be in your family:) Good Luck!

Ask your Mom what her problem is and why she treats you as she does, You have a right to know. if you can and know you will be okay, move out. Show your mom you don't need her. if you cant move out then you still need to talk and be open and out right with her and to her.

seeing that your mom is like that to you, it is time for you to be out on your own unless your not old enough to do so.
