Win-BitDEFENDER....I installed it and browsing appears to be sluggish.....BUT?

I already have an "active" Spyware program installed and running. Could THAT be the reason. I thought BitDef was a "stand alone" and therefore would NOT cause the "Don't run 2 at a time" issue

Only BitDeferder 8 is a stand alone on-demand only app.
