I personally like the Creative players - the new Zen Vision:M has video too. I have a Zen Micro, and I like how I can create playlists and delete recordings straight from the player, without having to hook it up to the computer. The removable disk mode is also very useful...
Capacity depends on the length of your songs. For instance, a 30 GB player could hold about 7500 mp3s at 128kbps, assuming the songs average 4 minutes each.

creative not not becuase its not an ipod but becuase creative makes better mp3 player. creative zen vision m is the best dap out there so far. oh yah aslo it doesnt matter the capacity as it depends on what bitrate you have you songs at. uhh 30 gb woudl hold say 7500 songs that are at 128kbps mp3 and 15,000 songs at 64 kpbs wma. the lower the number the worst the sound is. see 128kbps mp3 is not really good. well kinda it is but in my opinion 192 kbps mp3 is better and is right baout cd quality. wav is cd quality. but a wav song is about 15 /25 mb a song! thats alot of space sing that 128 kbps mp3 at 4 mins would only be about 3/4 mb.

Wait for the Microsoft June to come and then decide
A good quality average 4 - 6 min mp3 song is about 5 - 7 mb
so more or less 100-150 songs per 1 GB
If you want better quality then lesser songs.
nou you know

ipods suck. Go with Creative. I have a Creative Zen Micro with 6GB that holds 3000 songs. Got it in october last year for $200 which the ipod I was gonna get was the same price which can only hold 500 songs. Plus Creative has a microphone, and everything the ipod has but games.... but seriously who needs games when it uses up your battery. And speaking of battery, ipod batterys don't last long. I used my Zen from long island to massachusetts non stop. then on the returning trip non stop. And if your battery goes you have to send your ipod out to the company and wait FOREVER, while my zen has a removable battery. And itunes which you need for an ipod, if something goes wrong with that say bye bye to all of your music. the Media explorer that you get with something from Creative is a lot better than itunes trust me on that, I have both, my sister has an ipod, and my friends' have had all their music deleted.
