I played with Greg Allman at a bonfire party in Macon, GA. Hung out preshow with Living Color. Super cool guys. They signed my bass and wore our band tshirts when they got up on stage. Played a show with Fugazi. Ian McKaye is one of the wisest musicians I have ever met. Some great stories too. My mother was a booking agent in DC in the 60's and was really good friends with Mama Cass who I met when I was 5..lol. I still have her phone book with the phone numbers(prolly no good these days) of artists like Bob Hope, The Mamas and the Papas, Jim Croce, Johnny Paycheck to name a few.
One time on the way to a show in Brooklyn, my friend driving our van barely missed hitting Bjork as she stepped of the curb. I was sitting in the passenger seat and I literally could've reached out the window and smacked her....lol.
Met Willem DaFoe at a bistro off St. Marks Street in NYC. He was looking rough that morning.
Good Charolette used to open for my band and when Billy and Joel are in town we will occasionally hangout.
Did security for Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn when they came into the bar I worked at one night.
So I've met a few.

The most famous person that I know (and have talked to on a few occasions) is Penn State University football coach Joe Paterno. If you're a College Football fan, you've definitely heard of him.
Back in 1985 or so, when I was going to school at Penn State, I met coach Paterno while I was getting a haircut. He came in to say hello to the barber (they were friends), and while they were chatting he asked how I was doing, etc. And later, while I was managing a retail/pharmacy store, Joe was (and still is) a regular customer, so I saw him once or twice a week (BTW: he wears Brut aftershave).
My dad knew the late (former president) Richard Nixon. Back in the 1970's, Nixon was addressing the United Nations (in New York), and my dad was NY City cop. Dad was put in charge of the security detail assigned to Nixon, so every morning for about a week, dad and Nixon hung out, chatted, drank coffee, etc. Apparently (political leanings aside), he was a very intelligent guy, and really funny, too.

I've met John Goodman, Anthony Hopkins and a couple of other minor celebrities. I'm good friends with Liz Ferron, who is on a morning show in Fort Myers Florida on WINK fm. I also used to be friends with Hacksaw Jim Duggan and through him I met several other wrestlers. Hulk Hogan, The Nasy Boys, Randy Savage and Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake.

I used to help out at a nightclub in the late 1990's. Among other things, I did their bookkeeping by day and sometimes played chauffeur at night. I got to meet a bunch of DJ's from all over the US and the UK, the most famous of whom is probably Norman Cook, better known as Fatboy Slim. Not only is he one of the most famous DJ's I've ever met, he's also one of the coolest. He liked to hang out and party. I have some photographs of him, my ex-boyfriend (who is also a DJ in the Baltimore/DC area), and some other friends partying in the club's VIP lounge. He also signed my copy of his record "Everybody Needs a 303", but he was a little shy and reluctant to do so. There was a fruit platter in the VIP lounge, and he asked if he could sign a banana instead. LOL. I told him I wanted to save the autograph, and that the banana wouldn't keep as well as the record. LOL.

I've met a few...in all my travels (hahaha). In high school KC and the Sunshine Band came and I got his autograph and the guy who played Sulu from the original Star Trek visited my drama class, the creator of Haagar the Horrible cartoon (Dik Brown, no longer living) came to my art class, too. Not the biggest of stars, but it's all I can amuse you with now!

I was like 20 feet away from President Clinton in NY at the State Fair. Didn't really meet him though. But it would have been cool to.
My (my moms mother) Nana's cousin is actress Sophia Loren, but I've never met her.

I'm friends with celebrities and also related to some. I'm lucky to live in a city where celebrity sightings are the norm and events where they appear occur on a regular basis.
What impresses me more tho is knowing our Bishop personally. He used to be the associate pastor (sp?) at my church. And I'm thrilled he has moved up in the ranks.
