Hawaii was formerly a kingdom, it is thus necessary to respect the royal family…
But times change, States also belonged to kings (England, Spain and France) today, one would not see a king here !
Similar for Hawaii…A governor is my reply.

Actually,the current ancestor of Hawaii's royal family is a prince. But his duties are mainly ceremonial. Since Hawaii became a state,it has a governor.

No. The Hawaiian monarchy is no longer in power since they became a state.
