Cakes one minute, genitallia the next.
Gee u rock.
I think the whole penis envy thing is men envying other men half the time. Using this premis, which is new, i appreciate, but I am a pioneer:
Women cant genrally check out each others vage's in the loos, they are kind of INTERNALLY situated if u hadnt noticed lol. so there no envy.
Whats the point in envy when youre happy with what you've got? N we are. So there.

Never understood the "penis envy" theory. Think it must have been a Fruedian theory describing why women of the time felt incomplete. I don't believe it meant an actual penis. The pluses of a vagina are great. Ya know I wouldn't want my stuff hanging out there. Being able to go to the bathroom standing up is really something to brag about

I have vagina envy, and penis envy is a relative idea that can not be scientifically proved. Im a avid fan of Sigmund Frued, but his work has many flaws. The guy was a drug addict and a sexist, but quite possibly a genius.

"Penis envy" is a term coined by the Psychologist, Dr Sigmund Freud, who attempted to explain all human mental dysfunctions as being caused by sexual motives, many of which are hidden in the subconscious and emerge within the symbology of dreams. Penis Envy, as such was attributed to girl-children, who, on observing a naked boy, or man, would immediately note the presence of a penis, and would be concerned as to why they themselves, as females, did not possess such an appendage.

The sensitivity of the penis is concentrated in the glans (bell-end), particularly in the area of the penile meatus (the opening through which one urinates or ejaculates). There are approximately 2000 nerve endings in this zone. In females, the sensitive spot is the clitoris, which is situated within the vulval area (female genital lips, or labia) and is thus independent of the vagina, per se. (Incidentally, the word 'vagina' is Latin for 'cave') The clitoris contains about 4000 nerve endings, and thus its potential for stimulation and pleasure is manifold.

A lesser, but still potent, concentration of nerve-endings are to be found on the male srotum (ball-bag). The function here is to protect the scrotum, and thus the testicles (balls) from injury, as the material contained therein is delicate. If you have ever swam, or walked outside, naked, you will have experienced a degree of sensual pleasure from the gentle action of wind and water on the scrotal area. It is probably why Naturism (nudism) is popular among those people who can shed the socially-constructed prejudice about exposing one's sexual organs in the presence of strangers. Women, I am told, experience similar subtle pleasure by the action of wind and water on their breasts, which are similarly engorged with nerve endings.

Another 'forbidden' area that is rich in nerve endings is the area around the anus (arsehole), and anal stimulation and penetration can be pleasing for both men and women alike. Doubtless, the nerve-endings exist primarily to alert us to the need to defecate (pass a motion), but they also serve as a secondary sexual functionary. This explains why homosexuals can get pleasure from being the receptor in anal intercourse.

Finally, a word of warning. If attempting any kind of anal play, do not insert anything more deeply than 4 inches into the anal canal, and if it is a vibrator, dildo, butt-plug or similay, cover it with an extra-strong condom. If using fingers, don rubber gloves. Whatever you insert, do not let go of it. Both the anus and vagina are vacuums, and things left unsecured can rapidly disappear into the unplumbed depths. In hospital casualty areas, especially on a friday or saturday night, when alcohol has been consumed, one frequently sees very embarrased men and women trying to tell hospital staff that something has gone where it should not be. This is so commonplace that the response, from receptionist, nurse or doctor, is a bored "anus or vagina?"

penis envy is greater symbolic. it is not that the human beings with it want the actual penis, they want the capacity you get via being a guy in a patriarchal society. if we lived an a matriarchal society the place women folk have been the dominant gender, then in line with possibility there could be some vagina envy lol

It must truly be a guy thing for the size means nothing to me or close friends I have brought this up to.

Being a woman, I know there is only room for a certain amount of penis anyway, so too big would simply be a waste !

actually the penis envy related to power relation between gender. Little girls begin to see unequal relationship between men and women as they observe the relationship between their parents. As little girl begin to develop self identity including gender identity they begin to perceive gender differentiation and try to identify themselves with the male role model as the power holder. When they get gender based different treatment they would perceive that it occured in relation to her being the second sex, the less dominant sex hence producing an envy towards the male role model. since according to freud sex is the most powerful instinct in human, this envy related to gender identity differentiation is named penis envy but it is actually not identical with genitalia difference per se
