Webster's defines fascism as: a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition.
Is that really representative of the radical Islamist movement? What central government or nation do they fight for?
Is the use of the term fascist by the right's talking heads intended to relate the war in Iraq to WWII or to disguise the attempts made by this administration to emulate this philosophy (centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition)?
