One of the best nutritional supplements for healthy nail growth is the mineral silica. Silica is known to improve hair, skin and nails. If you have ridges, broken or chipping nails then chances are good you have a silica deficency. There may be other issues, malabsorption of vitamins & minerals, underactive thyroid, or anemia, just to name a few. However, leaving all of that aside, silica is the best supplement to increase nail growth, harden nails and help the nail resist breaking. The herb Horsetail has high silica content. You can find silica in capsule, tablet, gel and liquid form at your local health food store. In some states there is a natural section in the local supermarket where you could probably Horsetail or Silica. The supplement is inexpensive and worth a try. Good Luck.

Are you talking about natural healthy nail growth? Then balance in your rest, nutrition, exercise, and not nibbling at them will help them to grow better. Keep your hands protected when in strong soap or/chemicals.

If no success, there could be a problem and need to be checked. Your body might be deficient in some nutrient or it might be a symptom of some underlying problem.

If you are thinking about what type of polish or nail treatment...they just protect your nails as they grow from chipping and adverse elements. ...so it seems they are growing better. You are also at the same time, covering up the nail, adding chemicals, and making it harder for that nail to receive direct air.

I use Sally Hansen's Maximum Growth.

It even comes in different colors! Great stuff!

If you can't find that, go to your local drugstore, look in the beauty isle and I'm sure you'll find an array of nail growth products.

Good luck!
