Have you tried one of those electronic pest repellers that plug into the wall and give off high-frequency sounds to drive away insects like fleas? We are thinking of getting some, but we don't want to waste our money if they don't work. Please let me know what your experience has been with them. We need them for fleas which are in our house now that we've gotten our pets on Frontline.

Also, if you have any other ideas for us, please let us know. Right now we're going to use boric acid and rock salt, moth balls, and lots and lots of cleaning. Thanks!

I've had one before. I also had a pet rat at the time. To see if the repeller actually worked, I put it right next to my rat's cage. She looked at it and then tried to pull it into the cage...she apparently thought it was something to gnaw on and play with. She had fleas at the time too...they were still on her an hour after I plugged the repeller in. So no, they're not really effective!

To get rid of fleas, try flea killer carpet powder. Also, try the house bombs (like raid). As for the moth balls, keep them away from your pets! Just one can hurt or even kill your pet.

I live in the woods so we used to get mice. I tried the electronic repellents and the mice would run by them or just stand and look at us. I eventually had to call an exterminator and throw those things out. Maybe it was just me but they didn't work. Good luck

They do nothing. I see just as many spider webs. My cat keeps the mice away.
