Does anyone know how to solve a problem with engine clicking sound everytime i accelerate on my hyundai elantr

If its a clicking/rattling can sound when you accelerate then its probably detonation. I'd say try higher octane fuel but that may just be a band-aid approach. Check and see if you need to run premium fuel, if thats the case then run it and see if the problem is fixed (if you're not already using it.) If you're doing what the manual says and its still detonating you could have any number of issues. But its likely that if you've got higher miles you've got some carbon buildup in the engine. If carbon sits on the top of the valves when the fuel mixture comes into the ports in the heads that spongy carbon will absorb some of the fuel and cause a leaner mixture than the ECM think its putting into the engine. This can be a cause of the detonation. You can take it to a mechanic and they can tell you if its carbon buildup or if its something else. Good luck

Valve floating? Sounds like the fuel is either too low of an octane or the fuel is bad. See if it doesn't clear up after a few more tanks of fuel from another gas station. In the mean time, take it easy on the engine to avoid the clicking.

I would try a higher octane fuel at first, and as a safety precaution, schedule your car for a little preventative maintenance. Hopefully this will be covered under your warranty/service package. Whatever you do, pay close attention to how you are driving, avoid hard acceleration until you can figure out if it is a fuel or mechanical issue. Hope this helps.

get it looked at by a mechanic immediately, or you'll had a rod out through the side of your motor.

that ticking could be your lifters gone bad, could be deeper.. possibly rings/piston cooked.
get it fixed before your motor is dead.
