My screen goes black when I turn it on, but the computer doesn't actually go off. The screen thinks the computer is off, but its not. I have no idea how to make my computer stay on long enough to even look for it. Does anyone know what kind of virus this is or what may be going on?

Check the Syntex website. It should give you some info.
Or take it to a computer shop and they can fix it.

You can try starting your computer in safe mode, as soon as you turn your computer on hit the f-8 key a few times, If you can get a screen, try running your anti virus program. all applications will be shut down while doing this.

hi, perhaps you can try Norton to remove the virus and protect your PC. but you need to pay for the software

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.

besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

download firefox for free:
