i hate being shy but i've been shy all my life. Its like when a cute girl comes up to me i totally go silent. Do girls like shy guys? and if they dont how can i stop being so shy? Please help

sometimes girls find shy guys attractive bc they arent egotistical and showy. but if u dont make a move or talk or open up at all, then girls wont be able to relate to u. just be urself, b/c who cares if they dont like u! u r u and u dont need some girls opinion. so just be urself, act natural, and whats the absolute worst thing that can happen? some cheerleader wont go to peppers with u? if u never open up to girls, then u will never have a chance. good luck, i know u can do it! :)

I personally do not like shy guys. But on the other hand some girls prefer shy guys, which makes them feel more secure. Because this is a sign of that you are not a kind of guy who runs behind the girls all the time. But this does not mean %100 success, because you might turn to a boring guy too. Try to find the middle way.

Well girls don't mind shy guys, but the main point is that when a girl approaches you, just say something, even a simple hello gets the ball rolling .... good luck with the ladies shy guy:)

I had the same issue mate, It used to bother me GREATLY.
I'm sure some girls like shy guys.
My borthers' advice to me was one word: Confidence.
I know it may sound: corny, trite, fake bs or whatever - I thought the same thing, with plenty of skepticism.
I think you'll find this is the best advice you need with regards to getting a females attention/interest:
"Chicks dig confidence, if you don't have confidence - fake it"
Now faking it is hard, what I did, was I went this club every thursday and just put myself in a position that I had to socialise and also even just putting myself somewhere with-in the club that it was likely at some point that a female would sit next to me and just chat. - Once you have faked confidence, it just stays with you and it's just there - natural as!
Hope this works as well for you, as it did for me.

i am shy myself it is likewhen a cute guy comes around then i start blushing and my armpits start sweating. i never even look at the guy. i have found that if i think of something happy an dfocus on it it helps me to not be shy and if i am with some close friends with the guy then it is easier for me to talk to them.

The only kind of guys I even go for are shy. I am outgoing so in this case, opposites attract. Just be who you are and someone fantastic is going to fall for you!

Shy guys are great. I would much rather have a guy who is reserved than have a guy who just lets it all hang out. Just be yourself that will get you what you are looking for.

I was shy when younger. One way is to focus on the other person. Ask them about themselves and forget about yourself for a change.
