I was looking through some chinchilla supplies and thinking.. that I could knit up a lil box type hidy house and just felt it so it keeps it's shape. But I wasn't sure if it'd be safe incase a chinchilla chews and swallows some of it...

Yes it is very dangerous! I can and most likly will cause a blockage and cause it to die!

Most fibers are not good for chinchilla's. But mine dont' chew on thier hammock's. I have made fleece and cotton and they perfer sleeping int hem than chewing them.

It's not too risky but it wont do anything good for he/she's diggestive system try to avoid it it could get caught although it is unlikely. long term it may do damage short term not terrible. like i said avoid it
