So?!...I'm sure those who speak Spanish could learn English. That way, we'd definately have less problems communicatign since English and Spanish are the main languages...evryone would just speak english...am i correct?

So all Spanish speaking persons would now speak English?? That would make my job a HELL OF A LOT EASIER!! I release police impounds at the local police department. We get a lot of Spanish speaking persons that don't speak any English, and the most Spanish I know is "dos cervesas por favor". That makes it hard to let them know that they have to be the registered owner, have a valid driver's license, valid insurance on that car, and $100 cold hard cash. Which is why I'm starting Conversational Spanish this term at the local college.

Umm...if it wasn't Spanish, it would just be some other language...the people in Spain had to speak something in the beginning. The language evolved as it was separated from what became English and what became French.

The world would be "un lugar muy aburrido." It's good to have the Spanish language, culture and peoples to spice things up a little bit!
