Don't keep it on when not in use. The battery will have a much happier life if you turn it off when you will be away from it for extended periods of time.
I work customer service at an electronic store. most people who return lap tops with battery problem kept the lap top on continuously!

Hi,
Yes laptops do get very warm, but you dont really need to worry as it has internal fans and the reason its getting hot is because its pushing out all the heat from inside.
However if your internal fan starts off making a sound and if the laptop shuts down suddenly in the middle then I guess you need to show it to a technician, as the internal heat sinks or fans may not be working well.
Also never leave the laptop on when not in use because it will simply reduce the life of your battery.

you at the on the spot are not certain as to what processor you're operating. also you do not comprise any specs for the skill provide unit: This makes it extra complicated for each person to provide you a sensible answer depending upon something except logical guesswork. To my concepts it style of feels that your processor is overheating, and closing down instantly away before it fries itself. this can or received't be something to do with the hot skill provide: If the CPU is getting too a lot voltage for this reason of employing the hot PSU then it really is why this is overheating. - likely the restoration save outfitted a PSU it really is incompatible at the same time with your gadget, rather if this is an previous gadget and they in basic terms replaced the former provide unit with a sparkling modern one. The overheating can be led to because an engineer disturbed the CPU cooler even as setting up the hot skill provide; and this is not making acceptable contact with the processor and hence the nice and cozy temperature isn't shifting acceptable. My suggestion is to take it again to the restoration save, clarify the difficulty to them - That this is in basic terms been doing it on the grounds that they repaired it, and get them to form it; with any success for no more effective cost.

If you leave the laptop on all the time, even plugged in, eventually the battery will go dead. Turn it off by closing it up when it's not in use. As you've noted, it runs hotter than your desktop also.

Don't worry about leaving it on, laptops are designed to run warm. It may actually be better for it than constantly switching on/off.
