No. For something to be considered a mineral it must meet all of the following five criteria, or rules:
1) naturally occurring
2) inorganic
3) solid
4) has a definite chemical composition (a range of composition is allowed for solid solutions)
5) has a repeating crystal habit, or structure.
Since a clam shell is organic, is not considered a true mineral.

The primary constutuent of a clamshell is calcium carbonate, a mineral. But as d has pointed out, minerals have their own names, just like the parts of a clam.

well certainly a clamshell is made of a mineral, I think you are probably talking about aragonite or calcite.. but the clamshell itself is a clamshell :)
