Have it be someone that interests you and is from an era you can relate to. Your words will be a lot better if you do.
It should be someone who's life you can empathize with to a certain extent. You know, step into their shoes. And as you write you have moments as though you are them.
Good luck!

Does it have to be a dead or famous person? If not you should do one on someone you respect or someone you know who has a really interesting story.
Empress Theodora of the Bizantine empire is also a very interesting one!
Good luck!

Do it on somebody you really admire, are interested in or really like. When you like the person you are researching, it will your job that much more interesting. Then, the writing part will flow easier and better because you are into it. Have fun with it, take the assignment as a challenge and you'll do great!
