i have a piece of homework and have been doing it for about 4 hours and have got absoluty nowhere!!! so please answer my question and help me !!!!!!!!!!!!

start with defining the terms, use a dictionary. Then collect some evidence about how industry began and how it has changed shape since the emergence of technology. Look at the changes this technocology has made socially, eg mechanisation and subsequent robotisation of production. You could pick some significant things like the first robot or computerised production line. To finish, have a think about where it might go in the future.

In summary, I think it is innovations, albeit IT, new mechanic inventions, products or processes which encourage industry to become even more effective and efficient.

If you were a redundant factory worker, you may have a different view !

The industrial revolution was started when a new piece of technology (spinning jenny) made the production of thread very much faster and enabled the production to move from the home to a factory. Technology is the machines or processes that make all the technology we use today like phones and cars
