I have been given passwords and a user name for a club website. I belong to the club. I have been told i can upload/download files via your FTP account - enter required details in your FTP program as follows.
Do I need special software, or should I be able to to add information to the site?
Please can anyone help?

You will need a webpage editor and FTP software client, if you want to make your work easier. You can set up a direct FTP connection in Windows Explorer or Network Connections, but I don't find it to be stable. For FTP, I highly recommend CoreFTP Lite, which is free:

you might need some software. check with your cub tech. thare might be chages gong on. or you have poor contions to internet. you can ask the cub to send you a CDs or disks of the file.

it depends on the site structure how to update it.
you have to say what site for an answer.
