don't take laxatives. drink senna tea (natural herbs that will make you poop, guaranteed). they have them at rite aid/eckards/sav on.
constipation should not harm the baby, as it has only been a few days, but if you still do not poop in a couple days, it might start to contaminate the little cute baby.
it also depends on what your pooping pattern is. if you are always like that, then is normal. but if you do poop everyday, they i highly recommend drinking the tea, wait a day, and if you still have not pooped, call your doctor.
you are the best to diagnose, as you know your body the best and your pooping patterns. just listen to it, and you will feel if you have a serious problem or just a little consipation.
good luck :)

I would go to the doctor tell your mom lol I'm 14. But I've been taken two years in Hugh school in health care and childcare, and it sounds like your not pregnant I think your making yourself think you are. If these sytoms continue's for I would say 3-8 weeks of so go see a doctor cause it COULD be a pregnancy. Take a pregnantcy test too take like 6 and make sure there all different brands and types and take them all in the same day, just different times.

You need to increase fluids and fiber in your diet. the average person needs to defecate at least once every 3 days unless they have a different and predictable schedule. You should think about a stool softener (won't hurt the baby). You should try a laxative as suggested by your obgyn and you may need a Fleets enema. if you get impacted (blocked up) you will develop fever, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain and may need a medical professional to manually remove the stool from your rectum or you could develop intestinal blockage. Call your doc and talk about ways to maintain regularity! This problem could only get worse as pregnancy advances due to increased pressure on the colon as baby gets bigger. Best of luck for a healthy, happy baby!

It's probably your prenatal vitamins. It won't hurt the baby but it's not good for you. Call your doctor he can give you a stool softener that will help. Don't just go and get one at the store though. Call him first. Lot's of medicines are not safe at this stage of pregnancy.Good luck

You sound like you have "irritated bowel syndrome" - look that up on the web - thru the mayoclinic.com - and follow the site - its FREE..All I can tell you is it is not safe for YOU, you are holding all that "bacteria" inside and your resistance will lower and you will become very easily ill... TRY THIS - it won't hurt you - and DO IT NOW - warm up some "applesauce" buy some now and do this... add brown sugar to it - don't eat white bread - make whole wheat toast - hot chocolate - relax and eat this and drink - within a short period of time you WILL have to go.. its natural ... get a good book and go for it! - stay in touch, I am worried about you.. and see a doctor, as soon as possible, this just isn't natural, and you should have a bowel movement everyday - truthfully -

Don't go straight for the laxatives~you need to start with a stool softener~and you need to talk to your doctor about this~it is not that you will hurt the baby (which I don't know for sure) but you are hurting yourself~being backed up like this is hurting your organs~you need not to wait any longer~call your doctor ASAP~

Don't ever try laxative. It will harm your baby's health or even physical appearance. Try to go to a hospital. Then tell your problem. They might recommend you an enema.
Enema is a type of medical procedure that will cleanse your colon 100% all through out..

Drink a lot more water and up your fiber (which will give you a healthier diet anyways). It won't hurt your baby, but in your later months, you'll be susceptible to hemerhoids, and constipation may contribute to that.

Are you in pain? Seek a doctor for advice on how to get started again and how to maintain regularity. He/She might have the advice you need to do it correctly. Don't take any chances.
Are you eating, sleeping, resting, exercising in proper balanced amounts?
Usually that will often take care of the problem.]
Please check with a doctor about your case and your history.
