that woman was a victim of her own guilt.. she not only refused to answer ms grace's questions, but also didnt answer the questions that the police asked her about the knowledge she had about the whereabouts of her child..
when she was a prosecuting attorney in georgia, nancy grace NEVER lost a case.. she has a 100% conviction record.. she does her job and she does it well..
if i was in trouble, nancy grace is the last person id want to see sitting at the prosecuters table..

On the one hand, you are right. Suicide is a choice; the woman could have just as easily responded to being verbally abused by Nancy by getting drunk, eating too much, or just by crying a lot and having her loved ones hold her.
I don't blame Nancy Grace for the woman's personal choice. I do, however, feel strongly that Nancy Grace went way past the limits that any ethical journalist, which is what she is now, would set for themselves. Sure, journalists do press for answers, but not with the sheer venom that Ms. Grace has all too often displayed on her show. Perhaps she should go back to being a prosecutor, since clearly she doesn't have a clue how to behave on national television.
Your final comment was most wise: Nancy Grace was a formidable prosecutor that the guilty do not want to see opposite them. So, ask yourself: if the dead woman were really guilty of a crime, wouldn't she have chosen a different show on which to appear? Everyone knew and knows now that Nancy Grace is the pit bull of op-ed, if not real news, shows.
Have you ever considered the possibility that the "guilt" you so easily assign to the dead woman is not guilt of a crime she committed, but the guilt of a mother who has lost her child and feels responsible for not having protected them better? Without any additional evidence, we have no reasonable way to know what she was thinking when she killed herself. We also still do not know what has happened to the child. If this is the one time in her entire life that the ever-perfect Ms. Grace has committed an error, if the child is found in the possession of an abductor, if it is conclusively demonstrated that Ms. Grace hounded the mother, then what will you say? Most reasonable people will demand that Ms. Grace get off the air.
I, for one, whether she is right or wrong in this particular matter, abhorr her boorish, hysterical tirades and sincerely wish she would get off the planet.

As a Georgia prosecutor I feel compelled to clear up something about Ms. Grace's "100% conviction record". The only way a prosecutor can obtain such a record in the real world (no matter how talented) is to shy away from the close cases, and to jack up plea reccomendations so high on the clearly guilty that they have nothing to lose by going to trial (fish in a barrell, as it were). This conviction record also does not count the several cases that were later reversed on appeal due to Ms. Grace's outrageous misconduct.

How could anyone in their right mind fault Nancy Grace-who , apparently was the only person that day who was trying to locate a missing toddler ?? Are these the same folks who root for the terrorists or what ? You've got a missing baby-under mysterious circumstances-that , for some unknown reason , HIS OWN MOTHER IS TRYING TO KEEP THE EVENTS A SECRET .
I admit Nancy Grace is intelligent - but let's face it , Homer Simpson could have figured out that the mother was being evasive .And go figure-today the mother is the main focus of the search to find the baby-or his body .

Nancy Grace is in no way shape or form responsible for Melinda Duckett killing herself. Nancy was just doing what she does best, her job. Guilt and probably other contributing mental problems caused Melinda to take her own life. As we all know by now, Melinda is the prime suspect for her son's disappearance. All the evidence points directly at her!

You can't blame Nancy Grace. She is one smart lady who knows her law inside and out. I enjoy her immensely! She is truly dedicated to justice and the value of the victim.
Why do you think this women committed suicide? However, I do hope they find the child.
I have to agree with you, if I was in trouble, Nancy is the last person I would want sitting at the prosecutor's table.

The poor woman was probably stoned all day and had no idea where she is most days.
I am just glad I don't get cable any more and don't watch Nancy Grace. But--she is someone I'd like to see in Iraq, cross-examining Saddam Hussein. Her talents are wasted against simple-minded white trash perps.
