I have a double car garage with a metal ,uninsulated ,roll up 4 panel door. It is extremely noisy ,mostly vibrating type noises. The roller wheels are steel with a thin plastic "tires". Are soft wheels available ? Do you think insulating the panels would help. The garage door opener and and long lifting screw seem to be reasonablty quiet. Thanks for your intrerest.

If you have a coil spring on top of the door inside the garage, it may be old and weak. This happened to me; the coil spring was rusty and sure enough, it wasn't lifting properly. And the whole door would rattle and shake.
I got the spring replaced and the noise went way down. So I would say check your lifting spring.

lube the door tracks with white litheum grease ,avalaible anywhere, insulate with 7/8'' foam insulation,it comes in a 4'x8'
sheet . that should be a lot quieter.
