i think the answer is yes. most women know men! i mean loads of men. so if you get to know a girl/women. chances are, it will improve your social circle.

I have many female friends. I find that they are more intelectual than guys, give you something challenging to talk about, have far wider ranging things to do and are really nice company. Women think well on their feet and can also help you better with relationship problems than men.
I've got many female friends and I value them dearly and its never a dull moment in my life since I have known them all. Although one thing I would say for the blokes I know, they can be a laugh sometimes, but god they are repetative and have amazing routines that are boring!
