Ah you are reading another rag I see. Let me help you here with information you will not find in the Washington Compost or the NY Slime.
Liberals keep imposing dumb laws that keep the poor poor, the uneducated dumb and people with few opportunities are given less. You are against school vouchers, funding to private schools, you are for welfare and lowering standards. Try reading a decent paper or perhaps and this might be hard, go to a library and read about the effect of lowering school test scores and class work.

In a free society there will always be people that are poor. Foodstamps, medicare, and aid help these people.
In some areas there is high unemployment, and poverty is rampant. Some are too old or to sick to work.
The war on poverty is very honorable.
And these multimillionaire televangelists are very rich, and aren't bondservants of Christ--as the bible tells them to be.

Confusion reigns.
Liberals use taxes to keep people down and in their proper places.
Poor people vote Democrat. The more poor, the more Democrat votes. The liberals keep the poor voting Dem by giving them more hand-outs; such as food stamps and bigger welfare stamps. The liberals exploit and use these poor people.
I finally wised up to the Dems. I no longer am poor and I vote against the Democrats.
I will never forgive the Democrats for exploiting me when I was down.
Never!

i'm the new child of damaging immigrants. for sure they did not sneak in,call for which you learn their language, wreck entire neighborhoods and turn colleges into gang lands. and that they did not positioned all their young infants on each public information software you had. So possibly you ignored it as quickly as we moved in,acted like civilized people, supported ourselves, and became human beings August

they don't hate the poor , they just believe in working for a living and being responsible for yourself . Nobody should count on handouts , and yes they need to get rid of food stamps , food stamps are a great way to support the lazy . make them a 3 month maximum or something

Republicans do not hate the poor, so you are very wrong on that account. Republicans don't mind a hand up, but they do mind hand outs. The social programs in this country need to be revamped so that those that truly need help get help. That is not the case we are seeing today. We chose for people to be free, not slaves to the government. Why do liberals keeps perpetuating slavery?

Wow you're a flaming lib aren't you? As others have already stated...welfare is not meant to support lazy, uneducated, mass producing idiots forever. Conservatives prefer to teach them "how to fish" so they can support their own eventually. I was actually on welfare years ago, I learned a skill and now own my own home, car, pay for my own food etc. So I do know what I'm talking about. It was a stepping stone for me....not a permanent place to live!

Conservatives believe that EVERYONE should work and pay taxes - not just a select few.
If you don't work, you won't eat...really simple.
There are a lot of lazy, good-for-nothing drug addicts and bums out there that expect a free ride in this life.
Nothing is free.
This is the USA and if you cannot make it here...you are pretty much just taking up space in this life. This is the land of opportunity.
