1. The nuclear membrane separates the nucleus and the nucleolus from the rest of the contents of the cell. The cell membrane keeps the cell together by containing the organelles within it. Cell membranes consist of lipids and protein and are selectively-permeable to allow materials to move both into and outside of the cell.
2. Regulates what enters and leaves the cell allowing the cell to define its internal conditions
3. A neoplasm is an abnormal mass of tissue growth that serves no purpose
