Just heard it on news. It happened in Somalia.
Surely this behaviour by some Muslims is far worse than the Pope exercising his right to free speech?

There's freedom of Speech which I'm all 4, but common-sense tells me & U,
it was down-right provoking.
I'm not sure how many more times the Pope can apologise B4 we can more on from his slip-up.
Unless he was really making a statement 2 Islam?

I'm sitting on the Fence.
I have no respect 4 the Vatican & no idea what the Muslim fanatics hope 2 accomplish other than destabilised a world already busy with in-fighting 2 notice Jihad coming.

Unfortunately the Pope made a silly mistake as we have seen in the past years with the riots in the name of Allah. The pope was speaking to a modern audience and I am sure the quote from hundreds of years ago would not offend a rational person BUT we are not dealing with a religion with western views.
Not all Muslims feel this way but it appears to me that Muslims can insult all of us infidels not matter what religion we are and if you happen to be Jewish threaten to kill you and your family and drive them into the sea and they think that is OK well its not. They are trying to destroy this world hoping they have a place in the next one. There is no cure for their blind hatred.

Here is a link to the English translation of the Pope's controversial speech: http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/benedict_xvi/speeches/2006/september/documents/hf_ben-xvi_spe_20060912_university-regensburg_en.html

With love in Christ.

This is the only way in which they ever react to anything. They only know how to kill and maim. They love to behead. The worst thing of all is that the Pope said nothing wrong and even apologised because THEY had misinterpreted his speech. They are never happy unless they are causing problems in the world. They are such an evil cult.

Muslims showing their "anger" by murdering innocent people?

Hmm, you act like you're surprised. I'm not. Its pretty much what we've come to expect.

I'm sure a bunch of innocent Catholic worshippers attending mass at their local church will be the next target for the "righteous anger" of the Muslims. Religion of peace indeed.

This is ridiculous, killing innocent people without any rhyme or reason. This attitude of people will sooner or later ring a death knell for the entire community and the religion. It is imperative that their religious leaders should hold a meeting and bring to end this terrorism once for all.

Ok what about when Christians kill homosexuals or harass those who have abortions? Are you saying that is ok? Before you accuse Muslims of being violent look at all the stuff Christians have done and continue to do. Dumbas*!!

Somebody incited this hatred. The Pope didn't say anything bad, but the average people only got that one line out of context. No wonder they are angry.
As for the poor nun, nobody knows yet who shot her.
