I have a black car that had been in a wreck and I got a door from the junk yard that matches up pretty good but has become quite a faded almost a gray looking black . So my question is what would be a good wax, polish or cleaner to bring out the luster in this door.

Use Colorback. It is made by Turtle wax and was designed for exactly what you are describing. You can get this wax almost anywhere and it is also useful in removing minor paint marks on your finish. It also does not have the problems that using rubbing compound can cause (actually you should not use rubbing compound, if anything use polishing compound. it is milder and is less likely to damage your clear coat)

Try some rubbing compound. Be careful andfollow the directions closely.

As for wax, I personally use Mothers or McGuire's.
