Set makeup with loose powder and a professional-style face brush made with animal hair. The animal hair is evil to animals, but the hair has cuticles that picks up powder divinely. Apply all makeup with a light hand and proper tools. Foundation applied like concealer undereyes and on imperfections is all you really need. Blend into your skin tone. If it doesn't blend into your natural tone - get new foundation... Apply powder to wherever you are oily or have large pores. You don't need to makeup all parts of your face. If you have perfect skin already, just maintain that. If you want a bit more of a glow, dust some luminous powder, or matte bronzer on your cheeks.

alright i had the exact same problem. 4 oily skin u want a foundation that is matte and oil free. i recommend make up forever mat velvet + foundation. it is oil free, waterproof, and sweat resistent. it has 0 tansfer and it stays on ur skin like amazingly and gives a beautiful airbrushed look. u should always prime ur face wit a good mattifier, such as the sephora anyi shine priomer. it primes ur face 4 8 hours so ur face wont get all oily and the makeup stays on better. but with that foundation u really dont even need primer, but still just 2 make it last a lil longer. always always put some transulucent powder on top, its a colorless powder that sets ur makeup and takes away shine, u can even put it on if ur face starts gettin a lil shiny throughout the day. u should also get some oil blotting papers 2 blot some of the excess oil away without ruining ur makeup. 4 translucent powder i recommend the makeup forever hd translucent powder. so wat u would want 2 do is blot away any oil from ur face with the blotting papers if ur face gets a lil oily during the day, then put some more translucent powder on top. that will look less cakey and more natural. i hope i helped:)

This same problem happens to me. I have tried many different foundations until i found one that has worked. A great foundation that stays put all day without building up, is NARS oil free foundation. The way that i apply it also has something to do with it. First of all before i put it on i put on bobby brown moisturizer. IT makes your skin smooth and it works as a primer. Then apply your foundation with a sponge. After you are done apply you have to set it with a translucent loose powder. Apply the powder with a powder puff. This way the foundaiton won't come up and it will stay on. A good powder is laura mercier. You can purchuse these products at Nordstrom or a department store.

I know I think this happens to everyone. You leave the house with it looking good, and then you look like a mess when you get home. Well, I havn't actually tried it, BUT...I read that if you spray a little bit of hairspray (A VERY THIN layer) on your face, it will help keep the foundation from blotching. I'm not sure if it works, I havn't tried it before. But, you just have to experiment with different things. Try buying a new foundation first.
Hope this helps, sweetie!

Is your skin oily? I would try a mineral powder foundation like Bare Escentuals or Physicians Formula. They give the coverage of a foundation but absorb oil better than a liquid foundation would. Also, using blotting papers throughout the day and using loose powder to set your makeup will help your makeup last through the day as well.

I dont know if u should...but try not to wear make up to school unless it is like picture day or soimething go for a natural look and wear simple natural make up. i am sure you look beautiful and u don tneed make up. If it comes off after a few hours then your foundation might not be a good brand. or you do a lot of physical work during the day at school and it just sorta fades away. I think you shouldnt wear make up to school. It hides you r beautiful natural face! But if you really want to go light and smooth and i am sure the blothces wont show up. I hope this answer helps u! =)

Have you tried to use a face powder over your foundation, it will help your makeup to stay on longer, and more even. It also smooths away the blotches that some foundations cannot hide.
Don't forget to blend down and around the neck area when applying your makeup. This stops the "Mask Look"
Good Luck

i had the same problem. But i have discovered this great product !it is from benifit and is called Dr feel good its amazing you apply your foundation as normal. not a cheap and nasty one thou. then you pop some of this clear cream thing on(DR feel good) over the top and it looks amazing then use a liquid blush instead of a powder one!!!! your face just looks so much cleaner and fresher all day rather then a hour or so after you apply ur make up!!!its quite expensive but worth every penny its about 17.00 pound i think.
