my baby is really small, i like it that way. i think that there is a growing problem with childhood obesity, and it starts when children are infants. now i know that a lot of babies have baby fat, but some have an excessive amount. parents are starting their babies on solids too early to try and make them sleep thru the night faster which causes babies to gain too much weight.

I often feel like my baby are I are better than others, but not because of her weight. I am practicularly proud of her height although I have little to do with that. Even the genes I passed to her are not within my control!

Anyone who says they never have a little superiority complex is not telling the whole truth.

No. My daughter (2 years and 3 months) and is very slender (25 pounds) and her brother (9 months) is pleasantly plump (22 pounds). I don't think one is better than the other, nor do I think this with other mothers with their children. Just focus on your baby and don't worry about what others look like or are doing differently from you.

No. Babies, like other people, are built differently. Mine was on the lean side no matter how much he ate, still is. I get nervous when I see a very chubby baby. It makes me think a woman is giving her child more food than love, but that's just a personal perspective.

Bigger and fatter doesn't make you better . You need to be concerned about your weight and health instead of being " better" than anyone

no. why would plumpness make a baby better?
my baby was thin, but big (8lbs 4.4oz, 21 inches) he never got the baby rolls, and he is still very thin 7 years later
I am glad he doesnt have a weight problem

my daughter has always been in the 97th percentle for both height and weight. while i am thankful those numbers are proportionate, i have always been a little bit self-concience of her size. she has always been the biggest at playgroup, even tho she is the youngest. i hope she grows out of this, i don't want weight to be an issue for her when she gets older.

well you shouldnt feeded your baby alot of foods that youre giving her or him cause i hope not feeding too muuch fast foods or junk foods and giving soda pops . cause i saw this tv show the montel and these bad mothers was feeding their kids with alot of un healthy foods and theyre kids end up beingin fat and heavy or cause heart attacked . so you shouldnt think that most others babies looks better and healthy . i think you should check with your doctor first and see if your child is feeling alright .
