I'm sorry to hear this but take it as a normal part of your life. There are very few people out there married their first love and carry on for 50 years. Most people have a couple of relationship and there bound to be a hurtful one.
enrich yourself with something else, find a course you always wanted to do, keep up with old friends, go to church.
when you nourish yourself, you will find you're more able and confident to deal with the next relationship. take care.

The experience was painful and acknowledging it is the 1st step to recovery. It helps to have supportive friends and family who can be there for you. The more you force yourself to forget the more you remember (example exercise: try forgetting "onion" by saying over & over again for 2 mins - "forget onion, forget onion...") .
Don't rush. Pray and be patient. First love is not the last know that one day you'll be looking back and you'll be thankful for this painful but learning experience.

simple! just deal with it & move on with your life! it doesn't end just because your first love broke your heart! you'll still have a life to live & a lot of good things to experience & see! you just need to make yourself busy & be in public so that you will keep your mind from depression & forget about having a broken heart..Ü

feel it and move past it, you'll feel something like that again, it makes your heart less able to trust next time, but makes you realise you can love more than one person which cancels out the old soulmate fable.

Although it may be your first time to be hurt, I guarantee, it won't be the last.
The best advice I ever had was, "Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get back on the horse and ride."
Remember, if you weren't worth the time, then he/she probably wasn't either.
Life goes on and you'll survive. Best of Luck.
