a guinea pig is a small pet (not a rodent) in the cavy family. Theyre usually about the size of a human hand. They are herd animals that are quite vocal.

A hamster is a small pet in the rodent family. Some are tiny while others can fit in the palm of your hand. They are usually kept in seperate cages because they will often fight. Most are solitary with the exception of dwarf hamsters who will often form small families and get along quite well.
