It means Nagin is a racist. He wants only blacks living in New Orleans. The man is a fool. What if Pres. Bush said he wants the USA to be a vanilla country? What would people say....scream? Racist!

It means that The mayor wants new Orleans to be a predominantly Black city again. What the mayor fails to grasp is that the majority of the prior community will never ever be able to afford to live in New Orleans again. New construction costs and through the roof insurance premiums will never make that feasible.

That was Mayor Nagin's racist appeal for the black vote from registered voters in Houston, Texas, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Lafayatte, Louisiana, and Little Rock, Arkansas, to re-elect and vote for him, which they did to their own demise. It was a sad day for New Orleans, and I won't spend my money there again until they accept some white chocolate too!

Ray Nagin is a racist who wants New Orleans to be predominantly BLACK.

Why he is allowed to talk like that AND get elected is beyond reason...

If a WHITE guy said that all hell would break loose.

who really believes the mayor was sincere when he said he wanted it to be african american again????????? he is so tied in with the wealthy whites that he is a joke to the city and the rest of us....had he been sincere, I would think more highly of him. The poor people who haven't the money to come back and start reconstruction are losing their homes and land to the highest bidding white fella.

It means predominately black. Not just in population but also in culture.
